the big halloween post~!

So, for anyone who cares to know ... yesterday was the very first time I bothered to dress up for Halloween~! I honestly was not in the mood to celebrate it, because the extreme lack of money on my part is stressing me out so much, I just want to bury myself in work until I get my first paycheck. Then, I thought, I deserved to breathe and have fun.

But, as it is, my sister and cousins convinced me otherwise and dragged me into their plans. SO. There we were, dressed to kill .. mostly literally .. at the amusement park where they were having an "Escape to Hell-oween" night. It was pretty exciting, and there were quite a lot of really killer costumes parading around. We managed to grab one of them for a photo op.

The one thing that really sucked was us being too late for the tarot card and palmistry readings. I really wanted to hear the bs they could come up with for me :{ Also, none of our cameras worked, so we were stuck with cellphone cameras with no flash. Pictures turned out pretty sucky but better than nothing~ ^_^v

I've got a seven hour shift tomorrow evening. Thank God. I hate waking up early for the morning shifts :/

So, um ... I start work at Mrs Fields tomorrow. Ideally, it really isn't my kind of job, considering I swore left and right I wouldn't work in another f&b after the whole Starbucks fiasco. But a job is a job. It's at the airport too, and I know a lot of the people there from when I had my old job last year, so .. it could be a better experience.

I'm still holding out hope for a better job that suits me, but I guess having this in the meantime is better than lazing around sending a million resumes and going for countless interviews with no luck.

Plus, even though the pay isn't all that great, I'll still have moneys to spend soon~~ :D

stealing internet time. :/ this computer is so hellishly slow though, so i don't dare try meebo my way online. and this keyboard is so noisy and weird and i hate it and omg no one would probably see this anyway but i am having severe withdrawals already and ugh i want to come back but there's still a million and one things to do. plus, dad's re-wiring the cable stuff this weekend so everything's out of place rn i feel like i've just moved in or something -_-

anyway. this has been completely pointless and i am supremely bored and everyone's probably being busy with school stuff so even if i manage to ninja onto meebo chances are no one will be on to entertain me for a couple hours. fun~~

lost about 10lbs so far, though, so at least the extra time to exercise is working out. ha ha -.-

Watching the movie again, Monday night~ ^o^

I honestly have no idea why people are complaining about the movie. I have read the entire series back to back several times and I think this is the best one yet.
Too much focus on the relationships? SO WHAT? The kids are more hormone-driven now than in previous movies. They're 15-16 and you cannot honestly tell me normal people of that age don't develop crushes and first loves, etc. Voldemort isn't even physically IN Book 6. His Death Eaters are not a constant presence throughout the book. There's only Malfoy, and Felton did an excellent job delivering that character. It's lighter, funnier and more relaxed, and I think people are forgetting that that is exactly how it is in the book. Hell, the movie even completely omitted Bill and Fleur out and severely downplayed the intensity between Lupin and Tonks. Too much focus? I don't think so.

As for those saying how draggy it was, I actually found the pacing more than acceptable. The ending was excellent, I think it was a nice touch to not include the funeral scene. It was absolutely necessary in the book, yes, but movie-wise, it would not have worked. And I am totally fine with them leaving out the battle scene. It wasn't necessary and I much preferred the eerie scene they replaced it with.

Overall, I am completely in love with the movie and I don't think I can wait 1.5 years for the next one ;o;

And now I am hungry and bored :|

Today's random thoughts:

I've been feeling more lately that anything and everything I say has been or will be taken apart and overanalysed. I've always prided myself as being skilful with the use of the English language, but I have never been able to debate well on the spot. So even if I am completely right, I can never explain things when people take my words much too literally or twist them around to mean something completely out of context. I know I tend to come across as a word nerd and obsessive compulsive with spelling and grammar and such but when it really comes down to it ... I'm really not all that great with putting words together.

I don't know, I hate it. Not having control. Being manipulated into doubting myself. Being forced to explain the things I say when I'm not even trying to beat around the bush. And I can write what I think may be the most beautiful proses and be so exceedingly proud of myself, but there's always those few who will point out what they think are glaring mistakes, or ask me questions; answers to which I'd thought were so painfully clear. And then I am back to doubting myself and I don't like it at all.

Does this make me a terrible writer? If I were to finish an actual story/book and get it published, only to receive a couple of bad reviews ... will I be strong enough to handle that?

On another note omg Half Blood Prince left me literally speechless for an entire hour after the credits rolled -- it was THAT brilliant.

But I'll go into details on that in another post, whenever I get unlazy enough to upload and crop the multiple pictures we took~ :3

Terrible for Korea, but third place for us is pretty damn amazing.

Interview went all right. Not putting too much hope yet, though, until I get that second interview. Apparently, if all the pieces fall where I want them to, I'll soon be working in a Cartier boutique ... how exciting and nerve-wrecking - I know even much lesser about watches and jewellery aish. But it is pretty interesting and I should stop talking about this before I jinx things :x

In other more pointless news ... I ate too much today. So much for dieting ha ha ._.

I am so tired of seeing post after post after post on /dbsg about the boys' religions. Honestly, who cares if they worship Jesus or Buddha or their own reflections ._.

I am also very tired of sending off job applications day after day after day and not a single one bothered to call back. This is getting irritating and I am getting desperate. :|

I baked brownies last night but ran out of sugar so it came out tasteless. Another one for my history of baking fails.

I finally got around to watching 'Ballet Shoes' last night. Emma Watson was fabulous. I'd gotten so used to her very Hermione portrayal in the Potter movies (minus 'Azkaban' - that was the most horribly uncanon movie :|) so it was really refreshing to see her throw diva tantrums and self-centered crying fits.

I also finally, finally got around to watching 'Liar Game' which excited me so much because I love shows and movies that make you bite your nails wondering who's the real mastermind and trying to figure out the next trick or plot twist before it happens. *o* I might end up watching it again. :3

Now I need good show recommendations because I am bored and I want something that won't bore me.

Randomly enough, I saw part of the 'Romance Zero' pilot because yknow, got bored, and the wedding bit cracked me up so bad. Kangin though, was Kangin. I can't commend his acting because all I saw was Kangin but it might get better. I don't know if I'll keep watching it, though.
